With the rapid development of multimedia electronic atlas, the problem in design field is more and more visible. And it appears most serious in the interface design, because it is shown to the user firstly while atlas being opened. In order to solve interface design problems, this paper is divided into three parts to fetch logical theories to the multimedia electronic atlas. It brings up some new interface design methods under the logical theories by contrasting with the traditional methods, and also shows some practical applications of the new methods.

1. The multimedia electronic atlas interface design comprises of the design of the atlas style, the arrangement of holistic layout, the choice of the color tone, the design of all buttons and menus, and the harmony of any multimedia mode in the multimedia atlas. At the first of this paper, some traditional design methods of all the factors above are classified one by one.

2. Following this, some problems in the multimedia electronic atlas interface design methods are concluded, such as the lack of consistency, the mixed-up windows structure, the multimedia which work out of line, and etc. For a further step, the essential reason of the problems above are mentioned, such as the lack of research on theories, the blindness in projects development and the systems design at random.

3. In the end, the Identitatis Theory, the Logical Atomism Theory and other several interrelated logical theories are introduced and practiced in the interface design of the Multimedia Electronic Atlas of Fujian Ecological Environment, which is designed by the author independently. It looks all the elements of the interface as atoms to find the relations of maps, the relations of all kinds of media and the relations between maps and multimedia, so that the multimedia atlas interface can be designed better. Particularly, in this chapter, some pictures of the Multimedia Electronic Atlas of Fujian Ecological Environment will be showed to help to illustrate the new interface design methods based on the logical theories.
